Onam is the festival of Kerala.The rich cultural heritage of Kerala comes out in its best form and spirit during the ten day long festival. This year the festival starts on August 14th . These small flowers called "Thumba" is used for the 'pookalams' or flower carpets put in front of the houses on all the ten days.
